Our department was established with the aim of training Turkish language teachers. In addition to the four-year undergraduate programme, our department also offers master’s and doctoral programmes under the Institute of Postgraduate Education. The language of instruction for all undergraduate and postgraduate Turkish Language Education programmes is Turkish.

Our department’s undergraduate programme aims to train Turkish language teachers for secondary schools who possess the capacity and skills to educate future generations in line with the needs and requirements of both our country and the modern world. Our department places great importance on directing students towards arts, communication and cultural activities that not only strengthen their professional knowledge and experience but also support their personal development and foster their creativity and social skills.

In the postgraduate programmes affiliated with our department, the aim is for postgraduate students in Turkish Language Education to gain knowledge of scientific research processes and develop expertise in this field.
